Hankens, or copyrighted images, are featured prominently in many of the products that are released in Japan. Due to Sailormoon's large Japanese audience, many top companies, such as Morinaga(a candy/cookie producer), arranged contracts with Toei to use Sailormoon to help sell their goods.Despite the plethora of goods released during Sailormoon's initial and 10th year anniversary run, hankens are not normally seen for sale on the secondary market. Due to the scarcity of these items and, in some cases, the quality of artwork featured, hankens can be as pricey as some of the most primo cels from this series.
