"Mamo-chan....?!"

After fighting in a vicious battle that tested her resolve, Serenity is shocked to see that Mamoru has returned.

I love this sequence. She's saved the galaxy, but only to be rewarded with the grief of living on without those that she loves. As she finishes acknowledging her victory to her deceased friends, the Sailor Senshi, it's Mamoru's voice that she hears calling to her. One by one, the Sailor Senshi reappear and life begins to return to normal.

In 2017, the layout, as well as the first couple douga and genga from this sequence, appeared in a lot together on Yahoo Japan. I felt it was only fitting to try to keep them, along with the cel and additional sketch from this sequence, together if at all possible. I think I paid almost as much as I did for this small packet as I did for the cel back in 2005. I guess I should be thankful that Sailor Moon artwork is retaining its value...?
