Yamashita was a guest at Animazement 2015. It was his first time in the US as he was a relative newcomer in the animation industry. Yamashita was there to help promote the establishment of more supplemental dormitories for animators.

Yamashita was surprised I asked for Yoko, telling me that it had been a long time since he had drawn her. Yet, this sketch turned out far better than the other sketches I received from him. Go figure.
