Kagome screams for Inuyasha to regain consciousness and prevent Kikyo from dragging him to Hell.

I've expressed in this gallery that I am a fan of Kikyo and Inuyasha. Inuyasha's relationship with Kagome was one born out of convenience rather than him actually having feelings for her. And I think this cel really captures that. Inuyasha doesn't resist Kikyo at all; She tells him that she wants to spend eternity with her, and he is more than happy to do so. Although his eyes are closed, Inuyasha is relaxed and appears to be content with this. Kagome tries to reason to herself that it was because Inuyasha was unconscious, but I have to wonder if he really was because Kikyo didn't do anything to cause that state. What I feel is that Inuyasha wanted to be with Kikyo, regardless of what that entailed. No matter what Kagome does or how she feels, she can never take Kikyo's place.

I picked this cel up at Anime Expo 2008 at a time when, although expensive, there were many IY cels on the market. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, and nice scenes like these are now very hard to find.
