This particular cel features Rumiya, Ramia's little brother, in his bird form. Rumiya appears in this form whenever Ramia's sent him to earth in order to brainwash Sasami's best friend, Misao, into transforming into Sasami's enemy, Pixy Misa. I wasn't really drawn to this cel when I saw it for sale at Mandarake Nakano, but with its price tag and my nostalgia for the Pretty Sammy series that I loved watching on those "$40 for four episodes" VHS tapes they released when I was a teen, I picked it up.
