Domoto tells Kobato that Fujimoto's sour attitude was not caused by her actions.

Episode 19, and its following episode, draw upon the memories of the two main characters, Kobato and her coworker, Fujimoto. This particular episode exposes the trauma that Fujimoto experienced in his past, and why he has such a cold disposition.

I really feel bad for Kobato. She really has a lot going against her, but yet I really admire that, instead of focusing on completing her mission, her priority is helping those around her first.
