"Yes. Fujimoto-kun dresses up for us every year."Sayaka-sensei explains to Kobato that Fujimoto always plays the role of Santa Claus at the day care.

Episode 19, and its following episode, draw upon the memories of the two main characters, Kobato and her coworker, Fujimoto. This particular episode exposes the trauma that Fujimoto experienced in his past, and why he has such a cold disposition.

It's such a shame that the majority of layouts, especially those that were produced in-house, are either partial copies or complete copies. This particular layout was farmed out to another studio, and is an example of the partial copies that are quite prevelant with Kobato artwork.
