"I'm sorry!"

Fujimoto, recalling his memories of a Christmas past while staring at the snow falling in the snowglobe, is oblivious to his surroundings.

Episode 19, and its following episode, draw upon the memories of the two main characters, Kobato and her coworker, Fujimoto. This particular episode exposes the trauma that Fujimoto experienced in his past, and why he has such a cold disposition.

It's interesting to note that the background's pattern has been slightly warped where the snowglobe would have been placed, perhaps to take into effect how the floor would look had you looked into the water inside the snowglobe.
