"The flowers that bloom in the spring. The spacious summer skies. Engraves and glistens inside my heart." As the cherry blossom petals float down from the trees, Kobato begins to sing her song for the crying child. The song that Kobato sings, "Ashita Kuru Hi", is one that Kobato will continually sing throughout the series. It's an important song for Kobato, and one that unlocks parts of her past. However, it's not until Episode 22 where we, as the viewer, are given any explanation of its significance. From Episode 1 - ...A Girl's Wish ( …願う少女。)
