After losing the flock of crows, Kobato ventures into town. Kobato quickly finds herself preyed upon by two men interested in adult pursuits, and is rescued by a tall, brown haired man who tells her that she should take compliments with a grain of salt. As the day turns to evening, Kobato and Ioryorgi stumble upon a springtime bazaar. Ioryorgi, despite being a stuffed animal, urges Kobato to go inside for some food.
