Ioryorgi points out that there are crows perched on telephone wires above Kobato, and they have their eyes on the garbage. He urges Kobato to get rid of the trash soon or else the crows will attack her. Kobato's mind flashes images of the crows and the conservation sign. After a couple of seconds, she realizes what she must do - Open the trash bag for the crows to ravage! ...And thus begins this anime. Armed with the clothes on her back, an umbrella, fluency in the Japanese language and a talking stuffed dog, Kobato arrives on Earth. She's reminded that her mission is to heal the wounded hearts of those she encounters during her stay on earth, and if she's able to collect enough of them, she'll get her wish - To go to the place where she belongs.
