Tenchi Muyo was one of my first anime. When I was a teenager, the dubbed version of it was being aired on one of the local Public Broadcasting Stations (KTEH!) on Sunday nights. It was something I looked forward to every week as a teen since, at the time, it was one of the only anime on TV at the time (Sailor Moon & Dragonball were the other two). Looking back on it, it's hard to imagine a time where one could not simply go to their favorite streaming site and watch anime. When I was child, you had to either wait until a PBS or the Japanese station would pick it up, or head down to Chinatown and buy bootleg VHS taps of the Cantonese dub from Hong Kong.

Occasionally, Mandarake has auctions featuring these settei, which is where I purchased this one in a lot of several others.
