This is one of those items that I picked up in Tokyo and fell instantly in love with it. Four layers of special effects made for a really nifty looking cel. I had no clue as to whom the character was, but, I had to have it. Unfortunately, though, this cel didn't have the same effect with others, and it failed to place in the 2009 Beta Cel Awards....sniff....

Thanks to the helpful people at Beta, I found out that this cel features Sarutobi's power-up sequence from an anime called "Ryu Knight". You would have thought that this would have spurred me to watch at least a few episodes of it, but, I've never gotten around to it. Maybe I should make it my New Year's Resolution to watch at least one episode of anime for all the stuff I have production artwork from.
