"I feel so nostalgic..."

After looking at an artist's exhibition, Usagi sees this particular painting and is reminded of her past life.

While I don't gravitate to cels of the Prince and Princess, I made an exception with this one. This is a harmony cel, and of the two harmony cels of the Prince and Princess, this one was used the most. Every time Usagi went to the exhibit or someone spoke of the artist, this picture would flash.

I first saw this episode in English and I clearly remember the artist mentioning that she had dreams of these two, and that's why she painted them like that. It's a scene from the past, at a time when the Silver Millenia flourished. While this particular feature is not mentioned in the Japanese version, it's still a very beautiful cel that I, hopefully, will never part with.

I was hesitant to bid on this cel because I knew it was on so many wishlists, especially that of a dear friend of mine. I decided that, should she be the high bidder at the end, that I would back off completely and allow her to win it. However, as there were many collectors who desired to own this cel, she was outbidded near the end of the auction and was not around to rebid. I cast the final bid, and lucked out winning this cel.

From Episode 28 - "Koino irasuto, Usagi to Mamoru ga sekkin?" (The illustration of love, Usagi and Mamoru getting closer?)
