Kakeru, in shock that Princess Kaguya exists(and let alone is paying him a visit!) gazes upon Kaguya's crescent moon - only to realize that it's the cat he saved who is gazing at him.

While I'm not a romantic at heart, I did enjoy Luna's brief encounter with Kakeru as the transformed Luna Kaguya. This movie, originally based on a well-known legend concerning the Moon Princess, Kaguya. Luna's role in the anime as Princess Kaguya is rather short-lived, however, in the manga, during times of crisis, Luna is able to transform into Princess Kaguya to aide Princess Serenity. Had Sailormoon been allowed to run for a sixth season(incidentally the storyline was used during the 2003 Seramyu Musical, "The Legend of Kaguya Island"), Luna's role as Princess Kaguya may have been touched upon more.

Originally I had thought that a previous owner had removed part of the plastic around the eye, but apparentely, after seeing another cel from this sequence, it appears that all cels have had the acetate removed from a portion of Luna's eyes.
